BioSongs

Picture
Bio Songs is a program of songs about science & nature designed to heighten the awareness of and enthusiasm for learning about the environment. Songs were chosen for their simple catchy melodies & scientific concepts. Students are encouraged to join in with the singing, clapping, movement, sign language and in one song, yelling.  When songwriting workshops are included and time allows, students showcase their lyric-writing talents by singing with Peggy in an assembly program.

Balancing the Scales
Women in Adirondack History

Picture
I combine my A.I.E. experience, knowledge of Adirondack women's history & songwriting skills to present Balancing the Scales. The program is flexible enough for grades 4-12. The objective of Balancing the Scales is to bring to light the important role women played in shaping NYS history, and to encourage students to look beyond the textbook to discover women's amazing accomplishments.  The humor and imagery in the songs & stories will capture the imagination and incite curiosity.
