I'm so proud to receive this award on behalf of Creative Healing Connections, and lucky to combine music, community service, and scholarship through my work. I will be donating $1,000 of the prize funds to benefit CHC and the balance will support the recording of songs written for and at the retreats. A sincere thank you to the staff and students of the college for all of their support and to everyone at CHC who work to make the retreats so special.

Lynn is being recognized for her work in co-founding Creative Healing Connections, a nonprofit organization that features programs and shared opportunities for women with cancer or other chronic illness and for women veterans. CHC seeks to achieve healing and growth directly through programs and indirectly through training and inspiration.
