I hope you are doing well. Though the pandemic caused most of our concerts to be canceled last year, that free time had an upside. Dan and I cleaned out the 3100 square foot house in Red Creek where he has lived for 35 years, and we lived for 20 years, and sold it! We found a great house in Lake Clear just 10 minutes from Saranac Lake. We bought the new house in September and moved into it gradually through the winter. I retired from Empire State College at the end of August. I am getting a small pension and continue to teach online courses for them.
I enjoyed learning about the real estate business as we staged our house and searched for the right place in the Adirondacks. In November I took a Real Estate Salesperson course through NYU. I took the state exam December 1st and passed. I am associating with Chris Covert, Lic. RE Broker, at Guide Boat Realty in Saranac Lake. I'm looking forward to learning all I need to know about listing and selling real estate in the years to come. I'm hoping to leverage my knowledge of Adirondack history to discover and share the stories of houses, camps, and cabins. If you, or anyone you know, wants to buy or sell a house in the North Country, please contact me at [email protected]. While I am just beginning my real estate career, Chris Covert has a stellar reputation as a leader in the field for over 30 years.
Dan and I are looking forward to sharing music at Great Camp Sagamore and playing several concert series this summer. All dates are on my calendar. We hope to see you somewhere in person. I can't wait till I can hug my friends again.
As always, I treasure your friendship and appreciate all your support over the years. Keep in touch. I hope to hear your news soon.
Cheers - Peggy
